Iron TildeWasher for tie rod in the 20-foot-tall perimiter limestone wall of the Ohio Penitentiary, facing West Street, Columbus, Ohio. Piece of wrought iron is probably four feet long. Wall is probably part of the original wall, built sometime beteween 1832 and 1837. It was demolished July 1994, and the rest of the prison by 1998. The wrought iron piece may have been added at a later date to strengthen the wall, and this location may have been the one that collapsed in 1994 and crushed two cars.
