The Norfolk & Western Class "A" No. 1218

The huge antique locomotive idles on tracks beside Union Station, Chillicothe, as it hauls a sightseeing passenger train south through Ohio. The 1218 is one of few steam locomotives returned to service to the delight of railfans. Since this photo was taken the locomotive has been taken out of commission.
