Built

  • Small barn beside primary, twinned barn on the Leatherman Farmstead at 18160 U.S. Route 20A, Fulton County, Ohio, USA.

The core is 18x24 ft., facing south, originally symmetrically gabled but now with a 6 ft. lean-to added to the east side. A wagon door is on the front, with an entry door on the lean-to; a cart door on the rear has been modified into a stock door. Two small window are on the side of the lean-to. Is has a concrete foundation, is built of reused lumber and has a small loft.

It may have been built soon after 1900 like the adjacent primary barns, but those burned and were reconstructed c1927-28, and so this may also have been rebuilt at the same time. (Recorded 3/16/02 as part of the Ohio Barn Conference III tour; info from tour leaflet.)

  • Small barn beside primary, three-gable Yankee Barn barn on the abandoned farmstead on Henry County Road 11 just northeast of Henry County Road L, Henry County, Ohio, USA.

The core is 16x28 ft., facing north, with the north door possibly enlarged. South door is about 9 ft wide, with 6 ft. spece to right. Barn/shed has a poured concrete foundation and is built probably of reused lumber with no evidence of a loft, and is now used to store equipment. (Recorded 3/16/01 on return from the Ohio Barn Conference III tour.)
