Amphibian Walk at Buzzard's Roost
The annual "Amphibian Walk" drew a large crowd to the Earl H. Barnhart Buzzard's Roost Preserve off Polk Hollow Road in central Ross County.

Earth Gathering April 22nd
The Annual "Earth Gathering" at the Pump House Center for the Arts in Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park was Saturday, April 22nd.
SCOPS Spring Meeting April 30th
The spring quarterly meeting of the South Central Ohio Preservation Society will take place at "Harley's House" in the Earl H. Barnhart Buzzard's Roost Preserve.
- Celebrate Preservation Month
Celebrate the preservation of historic Chillicothe and Ross County at the beginning of Preservation Month on Saturday, May 6th.
- Buzzard's Roost Activities
Ross County's nature preserve has a few activities planned for this spring and early summer, thanks to the Friends of Buzzard's Roost.
Thomas' Gardens
The Herrnstein-Adena Scholarship allows a resident of Ross County to attend the Monticello Landscape Institute, a two-week school on the historic gardening practices of Thomas Jefferson.

Small Noisy City Across the Road from Me Over the last week and a half, the second largest city in Ross County has formed at the county fairgrounds, which my home overlooks across State Route 104. The 2005 "Easy Rider Rodeo" has made its appearance again at its annual haunt.

Quilt Barns At the Fair - The Sequel I have learned that Lo! and Behold, a few other Ross County visitors were inspired by that and are organizing a similar "Quilt Barn Trail" here.
