The annual session of Buckeye Girls State is under way this week until Saturday at Ashland University. It is a fast-paced program of mock government at the state, county and city levels. The main objective of the Girls State program is to train young women, who have completed their junior year in high school, in the duties, rights and privileges of citizenship by providing students the opportunity to actively participate in a democratic form of government.

Co-sponsors for Unit #62 Auxiliary delegates are American Legion Post #62, American Legion SAL, American Legion Color Guard, Tom Straub-Just Meats, and Keith Jones-Paint Grill.
